My name is Steve Johnson and I am a teacher from St.Albert (Alberta).  I was living and teaching in Japan for the past 8 years (and returned to Canada several months before the disaster caused by the earthquake and tsunami hit).

私の名前はスティーブ・ジョンソンです。アルバータ州のセイント・アルバートで教師をしています。私は8年間日本で教師として暮らしていましたが、東北地方大地震、津波が起きる数か月前にカナダに戻ってきました。

 I will be doing a charity walk for this cause (Gambaro JAPAN! Walk for Japan) from Edmonton to Vancouver from June 19^th to July 26^th.  I have prepared a presentation and talk that aims to share my experience in the endlessly fascinating Japanese culture and thereby connect Canadians to this event.  Furthermore, I hope to encourage them to develop their natural feeling of connectedness to current events and to take action when they feel passionate about an issue, whether it be global or local!

私は、震災の被害で今も復興に向けて頑張っている日本のために、「がんばろうJAPAN!」と題したチャリティーウォーク（6月19日～7月26日の間、エドモントン～バンクーバーまで）をしようと思っています。
また行く先々の地域で活動しているグループを対象に、日本で起きた大震災に関連して、日本に対する洞察、より深い理解、見方を１人でも多くの人に伝えられるような教育的で洞察的でモチベーションが上がるプレゼンテーションを用意しています。
もし、私たちが通るルート付近で私たちのイベントに興味を持ってくれそうな友人・団体を知っておられる方がおられましたら、ぜひその方々に私たちのイベントのこと、連絡先を伝達してください。
